Absci

Absci is a publicly traded (NASDAQ: ABSI) "generative AI drug creation" company that pairs AI design with high-throughput wet-lab validation — a distinguishing combination, since many AI-biotechs design in silico but rely on partners for the biology. Its Integrated Drug Creation platform designs and tests antibodies, and in early 2026 it introduced a capability for de-novo design of full-length antibodies against targets with no prior binder. Absci is advancing its own clinical programs, including candidates in immunology and dermatology such as an anti-TL1A antibody. As one of the few public AI-native drug creators, it is a market bellwether; the investment reality is that its value depends on those clinical assets succeeding, and AI-designed biologics are only now reaching the trials that will judge them.
