📋About Altana

Updated August 26, 2026

Altana is a supply-chain-intelligence company founded in 2018 and headquartered in New York, that has built what it describes as a value-chain management system — often called the "Google Maps of trade." It uses federated machine learning to construct a shared graph of global commerce, mapping how goods, suppliers, and companies connect across many tiers without pooling everyone's private data.

That federated-ML graph is genuinely AI-native and is the core product: it lets companies and governments see their multi-tier supply chains, assess risk, and manage compliance. Altana reached unicorn status with a 200 million dollar Series C valuing it above one billion dollars.

The honest framing: Altana is a load-bearing-AI company — the machine-learning graph over global trade data is the whole value proposition, not a feature. It is the flagship of AI-driven supply-chain intelligence.
