Users can adjust length, tone, and focus mid-conversation; episodes are saved to the Alexa app and Echo Show devices for replay. To ground responses in current events, Amazon licensed content from the Associated Press, Reuters, The Washington Post, TIME, Forbes, Business Insider, Politico, USA Today, and more than 200 local U.S. newspapers. Alexa+ Podcasts is bundled into Alexa+ at no extra cost and is complimentary for Prime members — positioning Amazon as a direct competitor to Google's NotebookLM Audio Overviews in the consumer AI-audio category while leveraging Prime's installed base for distribution.
