Anduril Industries is a defense technology company founded in 2017 by Palmer Luckey (creator of the Oculus VR headset) and Brian Schimpf. Valued at over $14 billion, Anduril builds autonomous systems and AI-powered defense platforms for the US military and allied nations.

Anduril's core technology is Lattice OS, an AI command-and-control platform that fuses sensor data from drones, towers, satellites, and ground vehicles into a unified real-time operating picture. Lattice enables autonomous threat detection, tracking, and response — allowing a single operator to manage multiple autonomous systems simultaneously. The company's hardware portfolio includes the Ghost autonomous drone, Altius loitering munitions, Anvil counter-drone interceptors, and autonomous underwater vehicles.

Anduril represents a new model for defense procurement — building products with venture capital funding first, then selling to the government, rather than relying on traditional cost-plus contracting. In 2026, Anduril's Lattice was reported to help lead the AI battle-management software core of the US “Golden Dome” homeland missile-defense program, and Anduril was among the twelve companies selected for its space-based-interceptor prototypes.
