AVEVA is a British industrial-software company headquartered in Cambridge, England, and a global leader in software for the process and infrastructure industries. Founded in 1967 from the Cambridge CADCentre and now owned by Schneider Electric, AVEVA builds the tools that design and operate plants, refineries, and production facilities. Its best-known product is the PI System (acquired with OSIsoft), the dominant operational data historian that collects and stores the real-time sensor data flowing from industrial equipment — the data backbone that most plant AI depends on. AVEVA's portfolio also includes Process Simulation for designing and optimizing chemical processes and Predictive Analytics for early-warning detection of equipment failures.
