Civic Roundtable

Civic Roundtable is an early-stage civic-technology company building an AI-powered government-operations and coordination platform for public servants. Hosted on AWS GovCloud for compliance, the platform helps government teams coordinate mission-critical work — constituent casework, cross-agency initiatives, and the collaboration that grants often require — with AI assistance woven in.

The company raised a 5 million dollar seed round led by General Catalyst in February 2024, its sole major funding round as of early 2026. It says it is used by public servants across more than 4,000 organizations in all 50 states, though that figure likely reflects broad or free-tier reach rather than paying deployments. Its first statewide deployment came in Colorado in November 2025, and it is embedded in New Jersey's 'Bringing Veterans Home' initiative.

Civic Roundtable represents a lower-risk, 'civic engagement, not surveillance' application of AI in government — a coordination tool rather than a monitoring one. Because it is early-stage and lightly funded, its durability and ability to scale are unproven, and any AI touching constituent casework must guard against inaccurate summaries affecting people's benefits or services and must protect sensitive personal data.
