CloudNC

CloudNC is a British manufacturing-software company headquartered in London, United Kingdom, founded in 2015 with the goal of automating CNC machining. Its flagship product, CAM Assist, uses AI to generate the bulk of a machining program — the toolpaths and cutting strategies a part needs — directly from a 3D CAD model, work that traditionally takes a skilled programmer hours to do by hand. CAM Assist plugs into established computer-aided-manufacturing packages including Mastercam, Autodesk Fusion, and Siemens NX, and is used by hundreds of machine shops. For mechanical and manufacturing engineers, CloudNC is one of the clearest examples of AI applied to the production side of the discipline, where designs become physical parts.
