📋About CoreWeave

Updated June 15, 2026

CoreWeave (NASDAQ: CRWV) is the leading independent GPU cloud provider, purpose-built for AI workloads. Founded in 2017 as a crypto mining operation that pivoted to AI, CoreWeave went public in March 2025, raising $1.5 billion at $40/share. Revenue surpassed $5 billion in 2025 (from $1.9 billion in 2024) with $66.8 billion in contracted backlog.

CoreWeave operates 250,000+ NVIDIA GPUs across 43+ data centers with 850+ MW of active power. It is NVIDIA's Preferred Cloud Provider and first to deploy every new GPU generation (GB200 NVL72, RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell, HGX B300). Major customers include OpenAI (~$22.4 billion commitment) and Meta (~$14.2 billion commitment). NVIDIA invested $2 billion directly in January 2026.

Key risks include $14 billion in total debt, customer concentration (OpenAI and Meta represent large portions of backlog), and a narrow service portfolio (GPU compute only, no databases or managed services). CoreWeave targets 1.7 GW power capacity by end of 2026 and 5 GW by 2030.
