📋About FiscalNote

Updated July 4, 2026

FiscalNote is a public technology company that provides AI-driven policy, regulatory, and geopolitical intelligence. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Washington, DC, it has spent more than two decades assembling legislative and judicial data into products that help organizations understand and respond to government activity.

In January 2025 FiscalNote launched PolicyNote, its flagship AI platform built on 'FiscalNote Next' — an AI trained on decades of legislative and judicial records. PolicyNote monitors bills and regulations, generates organization-specific impact summaries, runs redline comparisons across bill versions, forecasts bill passage, and assists with legislative drafting. The company has also shipped a PolicyNote MCP connector that lets large language models query its data directly.

FiscalNote reports serving 4,000+ customers, including roughly half the Fortune 100, and monitoring more than 10,000 governmental bodies with over 20 years of underlying data. The company reports reaching its first year of positive adjusted EBITDA and targeting a 15 percent adjusted-EBITDA margin by the end of 2026.

Because its tools primarily serve corporations and trade associations, FiscalNote sits at the center of an honest debate about AI in government affairs: the same capabilities that make policy work more efficient can widen the gap between well-resourced interests and public-interest groups, and its vendor-reported forecasting accuracy belongs in the hands of human experts rather than treated as certainty.
