KONUX is a rail-technology company founded in 2014 and headquartered in Munich, that predicts failures in railway switches — the movable track sections that route trains, and a common cause of delays. Its KONUX Switch system combines in-track sensors with AI analytics to forecast when a switch needs maintenance before it fails, deployed across Deutsche Bahn and more than one thousand turnouts spanning all of Network Rail's regions, and expanding to Spain and Australia. It has raised roughly 144 million dollars.
