Limitless

Limitless (formerly Rewind AI, rebranded in 2024) was a wearable AI company that built a $99 AI pendant designed for continuous conversation capture and intelligent recall. Founded by Dan Siroker (co-founder of Optimizely), the company raised $33 million from a16z, First Round Capital, and NEA.

The Limitless Pendant was a small, wearable device that recorded and transcribed conversations throughout the day, using AI to organize, summarize, and make conversation history searchable. The product addressed the challenge of information overload — allowing users to ask "What did my colleague say about the project deadline?" and get instant, accurate answers from their actual conversations.

In December 2025, Limitless was acquired by Meta, with the team absorbed into Meta's smart glasses and wearable AI division. Hardware sales were discontinued, but the acquisition validated the concept of always-on, ambient AI capture — a technology direction that Meta, Apple, and others are pursuing through smart glasses and other wearable form factors. Limitless's brief but impactful journey highlights both the promise and the privacy challenges of personal AI recording devices.
