📋About Osaro

Updated July 19, 2026

Osaro is an AI company founded in 2015 and headquartered in San Francisco that provides the perception and control software making industrial robots capable of picking, kitting, and bagging variable items. Rather than selling robots, Osaro sells the intelligence layer that other companies' arms run on.

Its platform, SightWorks, is a vision-driven perception system — including patented approaches to estimating depth and object pose — that lets a robot recognize items in a bin and decide how to grasp and place them for order fulfillment and packaging tasks. The company has raised roughly eighty-seven million dollars, including a Series C, and runs a focused team of around eighty-five people.

The honest framing: Osaro's load-bearing AI is its perception software, and its software-defined positioning means it competes on the quality of that perception rather than on hardware. It is a smaller, specialized player, strongest where vision-driven picking and packaging are the core need.
