In May 2026 Roche agreed to acquire PathAI for 750 million dollars upfront plus up to 300 million dollars in milestone payments, with PathAI set to join Roche's Diagnostics division alongside its navify digital pathology platform. Roche named PathAI's AISight image management software as a key asset. The deal was expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to antitrust and regulatory approvals, and neither company had announced completion by mid-September 2026.
