Updated July 14, 2026PixVerse is a Singapore-based AI video-generation company and one of the most-used consumer AI video apps in the world by registered users. Founded in 2023 by Wang Changhu — who previously led ByteDance's computer-vision lab — and Jaden Xie, formerly of Lighthouse Capital, it builds text-to-video and image-to-video models aimed at a broad consumer and prosumer audience rather than professional studios alone.
The product is organized into three model families: the V-Series for consumer generation and API access, the C-Series tuned for professional filmmaking, and the R-Series, a line of "world models" aimed at game development. PixVerse generates clips up to 4K resolution with embedded audio, and competes directly with ByteDance's Seedance, Kuaishou's Kling, Runway, Luma, and OpenAI's Sora.
PixVerse has grown quickly on the strength of a freemium consumer app, reporting more than 150 million registered users and over 15 million monthly active users. In July 2026 it extended its Series C to $439 million — pushing its valuation past $2 billion — with backing from Alibaba alongside a roster of Asian growth funds, building on an earlier round led by CDH Investments. The raise underscored how aggressively investors are funding AI video as the category matures.
