📋About Rockwell Automation

Updated September 4, 2026

Rockwell Automation is the world's largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and built on the Allen-Bradley control brand. Its products span programmable logic controllers, variable-frequency drives, human-machine interfaces, and the FactoryTalk software suite that engineers use to design, operate, and analyze production and power systems. Rockwell has moved aggressively into industrial AI: FactoryTalk Design Studio is a cloud-based controller-engineering platform, and at Hannover Messe 2026 the company demonstrated an AI-orchestrated factory design workflow that pairs generative AI agents with Emulate3D digital-twin validation, letting engineers build and test a control system in software before any hardware is deployed. For electrical and controls engineers, Rockwell is one of the central platforms where AI is changing day-to-day automation work.
