Snowflake

Snowflake is a cloud data platform company founded in 2012, known for its innovative data warehouse architecture that separates storage and compute. The publicly traded company serves over 10,000 customers including many of the world's largest enterprises, providing data warehousing, data lakes, data sharing, and AI/ML capabilities.

Snowflake has expanded aggressively into AI with Snowflake Cortex, which brings AI capabilities directly into the data platform. Cortex provides serverless LLM access (including models from Mistral, Meta, and others) that can be used within SQL queries, enabling data teams to run AI analysis on their data without moving it outside Snowflake.
