Updated June 15, 2026Suki AI is a voice-first clinical-documentation AI company building tools designed to reduce physician documentation burden. Founded in 2017 by Punit Soni (a former Google product leader who spent earlier years at Motorola and Flipkart), the company is headquartered in Redwood City and has raised approximately $165 million across multiple funding rounds, with its latest valuation around $700 million in the 2024 Series D led by Hedosophia.
Suki's flagship product is the Suki Assistant — a voice-activated AI scribe that physicians can dictate to during or after patient encounters, with the system handling the medical-language transcription, structured note generation, and direct insertion into the EHR. The product is differentiated by its focus on natural-language interaction (the physician can also issue voice commands to retrieve patient information, search the chart, and trigger orders) and by its emphasis on integration with the clinician's existing workflow rather than requiring use of a separate app.
The company's integration partners include Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Athenahealth, Meditech, NextGen, and Greenway, among others. Customer deployments span major US health systems including MedStar Health, Northwell Health, MultiCare Health System, Children's Hospital of Orange County, and dozens of mid-sized hospital networks and independent practice associations. Suki competes most directly with Abridge and DeepScribe in the ambient AI space, with each company pursuing slightly different mixes of EHR partnerships, specialty focus, and pricing models.
