Terray Therapeutics

Terray Therapeutics is an AI-native, chemistry-first biotechnology company building a vertically integrated platform for small-molecule drug discovery. Its platform is EMMI, short for Experimentation Meets Machine Intelligence, introduced in November 2025. Coverage of the company's earlier partnerships refers to a platform called tNova; EMMI is the current name.

What separates Terray from most AI chemistry companies is that it generates its own training data rather than relying on public datasets. A proprietary ultra-dense microarray measures how millions of small molecules interact with a protein target, feeding a fully automated laboratory. The company reports more than 13 billion unique binding measurements to date, growing at roughly one billion per quarter, which it describes as the largest global database of small-molecule binding data. Layered on that are COATI, a chemistry foundation model whose third version was trained on over one billion molecules, TerraBind for potency prediction, EMMI Select for uncertainty-aware molecule selection, and reinforcement-learning generative models for synthesizable de novo design.

Terray runs multi-target discovery collaborations with Gilead Sciences, Bristol Myers Squibb and Calico, alongside a co-development program with Odyssey Therapeutics and an internal immunology pipeline. Its investors include NVIDIA through the NVentures arm, and its Series B was led by Bedford Ridge Capital.

In February 2026 the company announced an EMMI prediction model it says is 20 percent more accurate than leading open-source models while running 26 times faster at 96 percent lower inference cost. Those figures are Terray's own, the comparison set is not named publicly, and they have not been independently reproduced.
